There are many factors that may contribute to post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF) after cardiac surgery. The BoxX-NoAF clinical trial is evaluating whether adding a proactive treatment strategy during cardiac surgery in patients with no history of Afib can help reduce the risk of developing POAF.
