Hybrid Total Thoracoscopic Therapy
The Totally Thoracoscopic (TT) approach is a commonly performed minimally invasive hybrid ablation procedure. The Thoracoscopic approach is performed epicardially on the outside of the heart by a surgeon to ablate cardiac tissue. An electrophysiology study is performed afterwards to evaluate the endocardial aspects of the surgical lesions and perform any other required ablation from the inside of the heart. This approach has been utilized for many years by physicians practicing at hospitals around the world.
